I am having an art show this summer at the Laemmle NoHo 7 Theater in North Hollywood. It is a group show. I am very excited!
This one is called: HOME
I included various images, including one from "The Mummy,"
a classic Universal film.
My great-grandfather, Siegfried's cousin, Carl Laemmle, founded Universal Studios, but I never heard anything about him growing up.
I made this piece when I returned to Los Angeles from teaching abroad in Kenya, East Africa, and was very happy to be home.
I also was interesting in learning more about Los Angeles, and the filmmaking history that my family had apparently been part of.
